It’s Here: Countdown to Final PC Launch Begins, Gordo Arrives, AI Practice Mode Added, Season Zero Contest Starts

The team is proud to announce that today, June 02 we are marking a massive milestone for Secret Ponchos - the official 12 week countdown to final PC launch begins! To celebrate we have released a huge content update as well as a new trailer showing what's to come. We are also officially starting SEASON ZERO, the first ever competitive season of Secret Ponchos.

On top of the multitude of changes you’ve seen over the last 5 weeks (matchmaking optimization, new maps, in-game chat, mode streamlining, and much more) we’ve been pushing hard to have something special for this momentous update. So without further ado, here is what you can expect to see on June 02 in Early Access:

 

GORDO ARRIVES

Everyone’s favourite villainous slob arrives on Early Access. With his bullet spraying Gatling Gun, Molotov infernos, and intuitive move set, we feel he is the perfect new variable to introduce to the Early Access battlefield.  

 

AI PRACTICE MODE

We’ve had numerous requests to improve the onboarding experience for new players by adding AI so people can practice before jumping online. Well, we were listening. We’ve been working very hard and are very pleased to officially announce the inclusion of an experimental AI Practice Mode. Our introduction of this feature  is humble: you may now practice your moves in a simulated four player Free-for-All with three Outlaw AI bots. This is just the beginning–we will be building and expanding this feature up until launch. The addition of AI also opens up plenty of other exciting possibilities and we have some plans in the work of which we’ll discuss in the near future.

 

SEASON ZERO STARTS

In the June 02 update, we are adding the “Seasonal Leaderboards” feature to Secret Ponchos.Everyone will have one week to warm-up until we officially launch  “Season Zero” for you competitive players. This is our first competitive ranking season that will be exclusive for the Early Access community. Season Zero will officially start June 13 and run up to the launch of the full game. Winners of the Seasonal Leaderboard will win some amazing prizes, so get practicing!

 

COUNTDOWN TO FULL PC LAUNCH

Perhaps the most exciting news of all is that we are officially announcing the launch of the Full Final PC game in 12 weeks time. Over this 12 week period we will be dropping in many major content updates (every week) on our way to a launch of what will be the Secret Ponchos game we’ve always envisioned. It will have never before seen outlaws, maps and modes. It will also have a new and addictive achievement system as well as multiple competitive ranking systems. And...it will have some surprises we can’t talk about yet.
